Bruce Thompson just started playing golf but saw the power of the game for business. He wanted to host a customer appreciation event but wanted to be different. I suggested a parent-child clinic with a cookout after. He loved the idea and we put it together. During the event, Bruce and I observed many great things:
But more importantly, Bruce did not stop there. He took great mental notes throughout the event, documenting the numerous opportunities available to help his clients. He was able to see so much more. He went back on Monday and formulated a plan on how he was going to help and has been executing it since. Some people talk the talk but Bruce walked the walk, and because of this, his clients are furiously loyal and love to refer business. Golf, dinners, shows and ball games are great to connect strongly with prospects and clients, but when you start to get to know their families then you are able to really help your clients.
