Sugarloaf Mountain Golf & Town Club, located just a short drive from downtown Orlando in Minneola, has been ranked one of the “Top 10 New Courses in the World” by Travel & Leisure Golf Magazine and one of the “Top 10 Best New Golf Courses in the Nation” by Golfweek.

Sugarloaf Mountain is the first Coore-Crenshaw designed course in Florida. The semi-private club opened in February of 2008 and it didn’t take long for it to get noticed by golf course critics and enthusiasts around the world. Nestled on the Florida peninsula’s highest point of elevation, the course follows the natural features of the land and highlights Coore-Crenshaw’s signature emphasis of strategic concepts meshed with simplistic design.

Unlike anything you’ve ever seen on a Florida golf course, Sugarloaf Mountain features elevation changes up to 250 feet. On a clear day, you can even see downtown Orlando over Lake Apopka while standing on the first tee – a sight that’s truly breathtaking.

The course hasn’t just been noticed by golf magazines. It has also gotten attention from local PGA Tour Members. The course has hosted players like Chris DiMarco, Robert Damron and Lee Janzen and they’ve all been impressed.
